Based in Pulborough (West Sussex), Kate’s cakes do not use any GMO ingredients, artificial flavourings or preservatives.They use locally sourced ingredients, working with local cultures and people to improve sustainability. They do everything possible to reduce their carbon footprint, by taking all their electricity from the North Sea, by not air freighting raw materials, by using all cake waste as animal feed and by recycling all leftover wood and cardboard.
To my delight, their fabulous range includes ‘allergy-friendly’ treats, such as dairy-free granola bars, GF fruit loaf and chocolate orange brownies, which are absolutely divine! They also create specialities, for example the Berry Christmas Brownie and the Think Pink Chocolate brownie - 30% of profits from each ‘Think Pink Brownie’ go to the Pink Ribbon Foundation, to help raise money for people affected by breast cancer.
