I’m so excited I think I may be going to explode! We’re moving house tomorrow! The van is booked, the boxes have arrived and I need to start packing-up the kitchen!
Ordinarily I’d be happy to rely on take-aways for a couple of days until I can get the new kitchen sorted out but this time is a little different.
Firstly, my IBS has been troubling me over the last few days (no doubt a reaction to my over-excited brain and over-stressed body) and I really don’t want to risk a full blown attack when I need to be strong as possible.
Secondly we are absolutely skint and splashing out on take-aways is just going to make things a whole lot worse!
So I’m sending out an SOS! What are your suggestions for moving day foods? Things I can prepare in advance that won’t need cutlery or plates! Help!

Tins of Sardines in Olive Oil On Rice Cake or Corn Cakes with Slices of Tomato or Tuna if you dont like Sardines, this was my lunch mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Brown Rice or Quinoa or Couscous Cooked already mixed with a tina of tuna with chopped white cheese like feta or QUIEJO FRESCO and tamari - GF Soya Sauce, add chooped onion and raw bean sprouts too if you like. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Spanish Tortilla. Chopped Potatoes, 6 eggs, salt pepper, Chopped onion, parsely. Once made you cut it into quarters and hey presto in a bread roll hot with mayo or add grated cheese on top. ( Put it in the microwave for 1.5 minutes to melt the cheese if the Tortilla is already cold and you eating left over from the day before :)
Lentils in salt water buy them in the supermarket. 2 Cloves of garlic chopped or garlic salt fried in Olive oil, add chopped spicey chorizo sausage if you like and then add the lentils to heat them through. Either accompany with 1 hard boiled egg person or poach them on top of the lentils in the same pan if you like the idea of runny yoke with your lentils, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - Good Winter food. If you suffer from gases from these kinds of food due to IBS or Chron´s, just add Cumin to everything it is nature´s cure to gases caused from pulses!!! That´s why Houmous always has cumin sprinkled on top!!
