organicveg.JPGMy belief is that the more chemicals you put into and onto your body, the greater they will effect your health.

I read an article in The Sunday Times last weekend, about a research project, which may have evidence to prove organic fruit and veg are higher in anti-oxidants and other nutrients, than fruit & veg produced by regular methods. I am from a scientific background and am an analyst at heart so I couldn’t resist doing some research myself.

What I have found out has enlightened me and taken me aback in many ways. So I have decided to post some of the info I found. As always, there’s more than one side to an argument, so I’ll let you read the different views, and then you can decide for yourself whether Organic really is best. Just in case you’re wondering, I still support organic produce and farming, and if it is just a lifestyle choice, well, it’s one I choose.

There has been a debate for some time now, as to whether organic fruit & veg is better for you than those produced by regular methods. The Soil Association believe organic is definitely best, while the Food Standards Agency’s (FSA) current standing is that organic produce is of no greater nutritional benefit and that it is a lifestyle choice.
