Waitrose has recalled some of its Pickled Shallots (454g), because pieces of glass have been found in the product. The Food Standards Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.
Waitrose has recalled the affected batch from sale. Product recall notices will appear in stores from Friday 29 August, explaining why the product has been recalled. Anyone who has bought the product can return it for a full refund.

The product being recalled is:
Waitrose Pickled Shallots, 454g (jar)
Best before end: November 2009
Batch codes: L7312 all time codes between 09:45 and 13:40 (printed on top of the lid)
No other Waitrose products are known to be affected.
